Imprinted Sportswear Show
We attend several trade shows every year in our effort to remain knowledgeable of all things current in our industry.
Last week some of our team at Big Star Branding traveled to sunny Long Beach California to attend the ISS (which stands for Imprinted Sportswear Show). The Imprinted Sportswear Show is the largest trade show dedicated to the decorated apparel industry and is a meeting ground for over 350 exhibitors and buyers, suppliers and manufacturers of screen printing, embroidery and graphic design. There are all kinds of industry related classes to attend and all of the biggest vendors of supplies and equipment set up to give demonstrations of the newest and latest products and equipment.
As we took classes and walked the immense show floor we learned so much! Like some cool new embroidery techniques such as glitter which add a huge pop of color, sparkle and a new look to your design and we were very impressed with the cool graphics and high density inks we saw. We also took classes on topics like embroidery, digitizing, design and four color process.
It’s not all work: we also got to put our feet in the Pacific Ocean and meet the team of our main ink supplier Poly One/ Wilflex who took us out to dinner at the VERY masculine but very enjoyable Auld Dubliner restaurant for food, drinks, and good music. We had a great time at the Imprinted Sportswear Show and in beautiful Long Beach, California!
