Every year Big Star Branding sales representatives attend the annual PPAI Expo in Las Vegas. Hard to imagine anything would distract from Las Vegas itself. Still, the PPAI Expo features exhibits and displays from thousands of vendors, distributors, and it’s how we stay current on new products, decoration techniques, and promotional industry trends. This January’s Promotional Products Association International event is held at the beautiful Mandalay Bay hotel and resorts with over 20,000 promotional industry professionals in attendance, which makes it one of the largest trade shows in North America.
What is PPAI?
"The show floor was sold out this year with more than 3,100 booths occupying one million square feet of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The 20,000-plus show participants also had access to more than 115 educational sessions and networking events. The entirety of the show ran from January 12-16." PPAI EXPO
Some of our show favorites were the Showdown Ninja mascot and stress ball giveaway key-chains as well as Alpha’s customer event, which is always enjoyed and appreciated. Great speakers opened the show, followed by classes on everything from sales and marketing to product decoration.
With over 30 years in the screen printing and promotional industry, we consider ourselves experts, but there is always something new to learn in this industry, which is why we have been attendance at the PPAI Expo for the past 20 years.
The biggest takeaway from promotional products, in general, is that they work as advertisements but also people enjoy them and may keep them for years. We do our best to be knowledgeable about our industry so that we provide our customers with the best promotional products and solutions available.
